The Odisha government has cancelled Class 12 pending examination for all subjects due to coronavirus situation in the state. The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) might soon announce an approach similar to the assessment method to be used by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash told media, “examinations for all the pending papers of all streams – arts, commerce, science, and vocational education – has been cancelled.”
The exams were scheduled from March 23 to March 28.
Students who have appeared in more than three subjects, their marks will be calculated on the basis of the best three subjects.
The students who have appeared in three papers, their marks will be calculated on the basis of highest marks gained in the two subjects for the remaining papers.
“If the students are not happy with their marks, they can appear for improvement in the examination after the Covid-19 crisis is over,” said the Minister.
The results are expected to be out by July 31, 2020.
